The theoretical evaluation of the material from the pipeline to the drinking water migration process in the plastic pipe is a general and recognized method that can be used to evaluate compliance with existing regulations and regulations. However, the quality of the evaluation depends on the accuracy of the input data. Therefore, in a TEPPFA-FABES experimental research topic, a series of polyolefin materials were analyzed in order to find an accurate method to determine the diffusion coefficient and partition coefficient required for theoretical calculations. The UBA is considering applying the results of this study to the material migration model guidance document in the future wading plastic pipeline. This paper summarizes the results of these experimental studies, as well as an example of two material migration assessments in the EN-12873-1: 2014 standard.
